The senses are key to this process, as they help children explore their environment and learn from it. Creating a classroom filled with sensory stimuli allows children to develop their skills in a holistic way while having fun exploring and learning. <\/p>\n
Curiosity and the need to explore are innate at this stage, so providing an environment rich in sensory stimuli helps children grow in a healthy way and enjoy learning that is both fun and stimulating.<\/p>\n
For this reason, the Growing Minds & Hearts program has been implemented in Early Years. This program focuses on language, cognitive, socio-emotional, and physical development, all guided by curiosity and exploration. Through this program, we work across different areas of development: socio-emotional, physical, and language. <\/p>\n
In the socio-emotional area, we encourage empathy and emotional awareness, while promoting balance and self-discipline\u2014core IB values. In the physical area, we strengthen fine and gross motor skills through experiential learning. <\/p>\n
Through sensory exploration, children not only enjoy themselves and have fun, but also develop important cognitive and motor skills. In addition, they learn to organize and process the information they receive from their environment, which is essential for their emotional, physical, and social development. These sensory experiences enrich their ability to learn in a more holistic way, preparing them to face new challenges as they grow. <\/p>\n
By creating a classroom environment filled with sensory stimuli, children are able to develop their skills in an integrated way while enjoying the process of exploring and learning.<\/p>\n
