Being a teacher at this institution has enriched me in every sense. From the moment I arrived, I felt the openness, trust, and support from school leadership to carry out meaningful activities with my students\u2014experiences where they could truly enjoy their learning journey. <\/span><\/h5>\n

I remember in Kinder 1, when we explored the topic of the farm, my students were able to meet real animals because they came to school\u2014yes, a horse on the soccer field!<\/p>\n

Later, when I had the opportunity to teach Kinder 2, the children were learning about art during the How We Express Ourselves unit. We transformed the multipurpose room into our very own MoMA\u2014better than NYC, without a doubt. During my time in K2, within the How We Share the Planet unit, specifically inquiry line 3\u2014how humans affect the habitats of other species\u2014the KIDS FOR THE PLANET project was born. This initiative aims to connect children with organizations dedicated to environmental care and conservation. <\/p>\n

We successfully partnered with WWF, an internationally recognized organization. Through various activities, our little ones\u2014together with all of us\u2014truly committed to the cause. With the support of their families, we raised funds to help protect endangered animal species.<\/span><\/p>\n

This project received national recognition, we reached our goal, and the joy and pride reflected in each of my students after such a meaningful effort was truly priceless. The following school year, 2023\u20132024, with the support of school leadership and other departments, we were able to launch a second edition of this meaningful project\u2014this time on a larger scale, involving the entire kindergarten community. Funds were raised for two additional animal welfare organizations in Mexico, and we also had the opportunity to invite a professional diver who works with M\u00e9xico Azul to help clean and protect Mexico\u2019s seas. <\/p>\n

What inspires me most is seeing how children, even at such a young age, understand that their actions can have a greater impact on the world. These projects not only teach social and environmental responsibility, but also shape children into true global citizens from the very beginning of their school journey. I am certain that in the future, they will remember these lessons, share them with others, and carry them in their hearts forever. <\/p>\n
