ACADEMIC PROGRAM

At Harmony School, we offer a comprehensive academic programme designed to support our students at every stage of their development. Our educational model, based on constructivist philosophy and the principles of the International Baccalaureate (IB), promotes meaningful learning, inquiry-based experiences, and the development of academic, social, and emotional skills.

Through challenging and relevant educational experiences, we nurture critical thinkers, independent learners, and socially responsible students, fully prepared to face the challenges of an ever-changing global world.

EARLY YEARS

1-3 years

The Early Years Programme at our school is designed to provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children from 1 to 3 years old.

We recognize the importance of the early years in children’s cognitive, emotional, social, and physical development, which is why we have created a setting that encourages learning through play, exploration, and positive interaction.

Playing is not only about fun; it is a powerful tool that enhances learning and supports each child’s growth and development, even at such an early stage.

KÍNDER

1st- 3rd grade

The IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) in early childhood (ages 3 to 5) gives children the freedom to play, explore, and learn, fostering curiosity and confidence in themselves and in their environment.

Through meaningful learning experiences, the foundations for holistic development are established, strengthening social, emotional, and cognitive skills that allow children to grow and confidently face the challenges of today and the future.

PRIMARY

1st- 5th grade

The Primary Years Programme (PYP) offers an ecosystem-based learning approach, grounded in inquiry-based education and student-centered learning, with action as a core element.

It develops compassionate, culturally aware students from Grade 1 to Grade 5, empowering them to actively engage in and take ownership of their learning process.
The PYP framework places strong emphasis on student agency, supported by three fundamental pillars of school life.

MYP

6th- 9th grade

The Middle Years Programme (MYP) of the International Baccalaureate (IB) places strong emphasis on intellectual challenge. It encourages students from Grades 6 to 9 to make meaningful connections between their studies and the real world, preparing them for success in their academic journey and personal lives.

The programme provides students with the essential tools to inquire into a wide range of issues and ideas of local, national, and global significance. As a result, students develop into creative, critical, and reflective thinkers.
